He was home early.
With a wrinkled brow she pushed open the door wondering what had happen. Standing in the hallway, he was waiting for her. Not a word was spoken. Setting her purse on the table she walked over to him, just as she started to speak he shook his head no.
His blue eyes betrayed nothing. The tension was high, she searched her mind for anything she might have done, said or otherwise. He didn't reach for her, only stood there staring. The house seemed to settle around them, waiting.
He walked behind her, standing so close she could feel the heat emanating from his body. She wanted to reach for him but didn't dare move. She closed her eyes and waited.
I wanna know what happened next ;)
